Most of us have a woman in our life who has inspired us to be a stronger, better version of ourselves. They have supported us in hard times, whether they know it or not. In fact, most of the time these beautiful women live without knowing how much they have impacted us. I’m running a contest in honor of these amazing women in our lives. Syracuse Boudoir, of Caitlyn Bom Photography wants to show one amazing, beautiful, and loved woman just how much she is appreciated by giving her a day in the studio to get glammed up and photographed!

All the pieces of the wedding were carefully picked by Lorri, and Josh was right along side her when it came to personal creations throughout the venue, Association Island in Henderson, NY. This wedding was a true collaboration of love. Lorri sent me sneak peeks of everything throughout the process, and the excitement of what was in store was overwhelming! Walking up to the ceremony spot and into the reception venue was absolutely breath taking. All of these fine details were topped with the great weather we had and a gorgeous sunset!

Lorri & Josh…Your love runs deep and I’m happy to be a part of your happily ever after. I’ve known Lorri for a few years now, and I truly believe you two are meant for one another. Thank you so very much!

The support that Jamie & Mike had between family and friends, as well as the pure honesty they had towards one another was amazing. It’s truly strange stepping into other people’s lives and essentially living with them for a day. You pick up on little details about each one, which in turn you hope to be able to photograph so the day is genuine when they look back over the years. While it seems every wedding is fun, exciting, and full of surprises, this particular wedding day held quite a few amazing little details, and boy was it amazing being there to photograph them!

Jamie & Mike… Your wedding was truly inspiring and really helped me realize some new things, and I feel like I grew a little bit through this experience. Your family and friends were really amazing, not to mention hilarious! Here’s to many years of happiness in your newly bought home. I’m happy my images will be able to fill up some of that new space!

Jacob is who grounds her and balances out her spirited personality, with such ease and a sense of pure relaxation. His friends and family reflect his calm and collected manner (unless you include them on the dance floor!), and once again, they all seamlessly come together to support him.  His natural (and quick) smile comes out at any sign of fun and excitement, and I truly believe that is a gift.

When Jacob was introduced to Trude’s family, you just knew he was a perfect fit. He spoke Spanish fluently,  and his natural smile won everyone over. You can see Trude’s love is truly never ending for Jacob.  These two are meant for each other.

Trude and Jacob, thank you so very much for including me in your special day. From the finest details all the way to the weather (which I swear Trude had some influence on!) it was one word: Perfection. I hope you’ve enjoyed Texas as much as I did when I lived down there!

Brian and Nicole have known each other since college, and they always knew that they had something special. As time passed, that bond grew stronger and in 2008, they were able to take that leap into a relationship. Their first date really set the tone of their relationship though.

“The best part about this date was that when I arrived, I was wearing a marroon polo with a navy tank top underneath and Brian showed up wearing a navy blue polo with a marroon tshirt under; so we totally matched. We then got to the restaurant and ordered the same exact thing: House Salad and Chicken Riggies.“

Don’t get me wrong, these two aren’t the Bobbsey Twins by any means. Nicole explained to me that they really do balance one another out. She is the more serious and calculated side to the relationship, whereas Brian is the goofball and fun loving side. It makes sense that when I asked Brian what one thing came to mind about Nicole that always makes him smile, it was her laugh!

“I’m not talking about the ‘oh haha that’s funny’ kind of laugh, I’m talking about the whimsical, uncontrollable, carefree type laugh accompanied by a scrunched up face, a throw back of the head and a possible snort or two! It is just infectious.”

This engagement session was really special. Nicole brought in the Deserted Attic to spice things up a bit and give their session a truly vintage feel! Aren’t Nicole and Brian’s outfits awesome?!

“Left or right?“

The fork in the road meant either home or a gorgeous waterfront view.

“…”

Justin veered off towards the water in silence until they reached their destination. Jamie looked out at the water, and a few moments later, she got out of the car.

This was the perfect opportunity for Justin to pull the box out of his glove compartment. She wasn’t looking. She was in a bad mood. He wanted to make it right. He wanted to see her smile. But most of all…He wanted to make her happy the rest of her life.

Jamie & Justin are excited for their upcoming wedding, the first of October! When I received the call from Jamie, asking if I still had any dates available this year, I would have jumped around my office, done a happy dance, maybe sang a little bit…. but that would be weird…

My cats certainly got a show after I got off the phone, though.

I don’t know how I get so lucky. It’s like Jamie & Justin just KNEW what I wanted out of this session. They found this awesome spot!

Way back in high school

It was too soon to tell

That someday these two

They spent more time together

He took her for a walk

With Lincoln by his side

Scott got down on one knee

And asked Christine to be his bride

Now we stand here today

That Scott and Christine

Were so totally meant to be!

Carl proposed to Marilyn the day after her birthday, on July 24, 2010 in Niagara Falls. She had assumed the entire trip was for her birthday, and while Marilyn was enjoying the view from the hotel room balcony Carl came up behind her. She noticed his heart racing against her back and began picking on him for being nervous. When she realized he was holding a box, she assumed it was a watch, but when he began proposing everything became a blur. Carl has a knack for surprises, and this one was it. For Carl it was a dream come true, she said yes, and here I have the opportunity to share their love with you.

Marilyn & Carl originally had a different location in mind, but it didn’t work out. Luckily they lived really close to downtown Rochester!

He’s yours, Marilyn!

I feel truly blessed to have been able to go up to see and photograph this entire event, which is seriously a once in a lifetime sort of thing I believe. It was IIFA’s premier to North America, 12th year it’s actually taken place. With approximately 700 million viewers!

But this entire weekend boiled down to one moment where I met Hilary Swank!
