Syracuse Wedding Photographer | Caitlyn Bom Photography bio picture
  • I was given this opportunity to photograph people for a living, and it's something I take very seriously. I love what I do, and it amazes me the connections I've made through this career in such a short span of time. I love it when a bride glows on her wedding day, how a baby makes a goofy face when dad tickles them, how a family gets a kick out of an uncle's knock-knock joke. I'm not just a photographer, I'm an artist, but above all I'm a journalist. I know what interactions between friends and family means, and I know my job is to capture those moments that are real, which are true to who you are, not what I create. I love getting the “big picture” while focusing on a split second.

You can expect me to answer my emails at 11pm, you can expect me to give you advice if you need it, and you can expect me to bring 110% of my energy to put into your wedding!

So if you feel that you have connected with my work, and you like what you just read, email or call me! Yes, even if it is 11pm. I'll probably answer!

Syracuse Family Photographer – Fox Family Part II!

I feel so lucky sometimes to have the brides I do. All of them have been so wonderful, and such caring people. It’s nice that they continue to follow me as well! Especially my Tiny Tuesday posts;)Tiny Tuesday is a contest I run weekly, where the first person to guess the object in the photograph correctly is put into a hat and I draw out the name of the winner for a free family session! Janelle won the first round of drawings, and we were super excited to do a family session!

In the end, there was a change though. Janelle asked if she could donate her session to her sister-in-law, Kristen. She informed me that her dog has cancer and only has a few months to live, so Janelle wanted to give her session to Kristen on her birthday! How sweet is that? And for such a wonderful cause.

This family was amazing the day of Janelle & Joel’s wedding, and I continue to see just how wonderful they are every time we’re in contact.

Janelle, words can’t describe how much your consideration for others has warmed my heart. I’m so happy to be a part of such a wonderful gift!

Pictures anyone?

Syracuse Wedding Photographer – Wedding Wednesday – Suzette and Paul’s Syracuse Wedding Part II

We have a lot of people in our wedding

Okay, a lot. What did they mean by a lot?

We have 35 members in the bridal party

Whoa!!!!

Let’s just say, this wedding was full of personality! Totally had one of those flashbacks to “My big fat Greek wedding”, lol.:)Suzette and Paul really pulled everyone together for their event, friends and family alike. In fact, everyone felt like family! I am still in awe as to how amazing their wedding was. MarryMeNY, Shannon Lach, did an amazing job with the reception hall at the Sheraton on SU Hill. The room was drop dead gorgeous, and Suzette said that this was the best day of their lives. I imagine, when you are the catalyst of such a friendly event, you’d certainly feel that way.

There were absolutely nothing but smiles the entire day, I’ll let the pictures show how it went, rather than rambling on.:)

Tiffany DeWald did such an amazing job with Suzette and her mother’s hair!:)

Suzette always had her eyes on the room behind her, so she could watch everyone and greet friends and family arriving through the door!

Such a helpful Matron of Honor, all day! You did a wonderful job!:)

Suzette’s surprise to her soon-to-be hubby!

Taking a peek to watch Paul’s reaction to his new riding lawn mower!

He loved it!

An emotional moment for Suzette as she opens her surprise from Paul.

Mom checkin it out!

Such an adorable flower girl! Showin off her curls

In this wedding, everyone got involved!!

Let’s just say that getting into the wedding dress was an adventure!

Emily Jock did an amazing job with the makeup!

She was excited!

Of course the guys got to ham it up for the camera too!

Lots of love for the groom! Hehe

Pop!

Girls, you’re all fabulous!

A kiss for the bride!

Everyone was so happy!

Let me repeat: 35!!!!

We had some entertainment while doing photos, so one of the groomsmen decided to be proactive and join in!

Ugh, GORGEOUS!!!!

They were ready to PARTY!

They all taught us how to dougie!

So cute in her second dress!

Suzette and Paul! Thank you so much for bringing us in to photograph such a joyous event! I really felt like part of the family while I was there too! I bet you’re both really enjoying Jamaica right now, I can’t wait to see those pictures!
